So my first website collaboration with SysXI.com was completed this week with the launch of JockFairweather.com! Jock Fairweather wanted a create a interactive showcase of his high end fashion shoes within a simple elegant website that was quick and easy to use:
The front page has a fashion shoot organised for the shoes, eventually we hope to incorporate a fashion style mini promo video or a slide show.
Again keeping it simple and clean we did a small photo shoot of Jock for the ‘About us‘ page to help illustrate a young professional shoe designer using less text.
Some of our big inspirations during the research stage of the project was how we liked larger images (websites such as Alexander Mcqueen) , especially in galleries. So we used larger images of shoes to highlight how much detail went into the design.
To keep the shoes interactive with the customer we integrated a ‘Flash’ Swiftspin product module allowing users to rotate the shoes in 3D so all angles of the shoe could be showcased.

The website itself is run on a Drupal CMS back end with a full working e-commerce section for ordering the shoes online. Overall we were very happy with the outcome and will continue to develop it over the up and coming fashion seasons!
